Shorten 5 km expressway in HCM City – Long Thanh

From 10/1, An Phu to the segment intersections Ring 2 is put to use, cars from Saigon to speed up highway HCM City – Long Thanh 5 km shorter than before. The entire line of high-speed traffic will be before the Lunar New Year.

Meanwhile, highway HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay will be connected to the East – West (Mai Chi Tho), car not ring through the Dong Van Cong and Ring 2 as before. This will contribute to addressing overcrowding in the US Marine roundabout area (District 2), which reduced distance from the city center on highway 5 km than before.

On the progress of the remaining 31 km of highway HCM City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway representative said that the contractor has completed construction of 17 km, 14 km from the end of the progress achieved 80%. After the entire highway is put into use, the ramp from HCMC to Vung Tau is only 95 km with a period of about one hour 20 minutes instead of 120 km and 2 hours and 30 minutes as before. The project is divided into two sections. Beginning from the intersection to Long Thanh Phu – Dong Nai – 23.9 km long traverse District 2, 9 (HCM); Nhon Trach and Long Thanh district (Dong Nai). The rest of Long Thanh to Dau Giay 31.1 km long traverse Long Thanh district; Cam and Reunification of Dong Nai province. The project is part of a system of highways North – South, located in the key economic triangle Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
